Today we met a superstar!

Today we had an incredibly special experience… we got to interview Canadian hockey superstar Hayley Wickenheiser!! We had the chance to talk to Hayley at the Father David Bauer Arena here in Calgary. While players trained on the ice, we had a chance to sit down with Hayley. She is one busy woman- she’s in training for her fourth Olympic appearance at Vancouver 2010- so we felt really lucky she made time for us! I’m sure everyone is familiar with Hayley but in case you’re not, here’s some cool stuff you should know: Hayley is a three time Olympic medalist. She has led Canada to six gold medals and one silver at the Women World Hockey Championships. Hayley is truly an inspiration and an exceptional role model to all young women. Girls of Canada, we can be proud to call her one of our own! I’ll leave you with these special words Hayley shared with us: “It’s all about having the courage to go against the grain. I have certainly done that a lot in my career and in my life. It hasn’t been easy but it has been well worth while. And I know there is a long way to go but it’s all about hanging in there and staying strong”.
