Today I was thinking about the fact that even though I’ve only been involved with Because I am a Girl for a few months, I’ve already been able to meet so many girls that are doing amazing things for girls around the world. From fundraising to awareness raising, these girls kick butt!

There’s Beatrice who video taped her way around Copenhagen during the Climate Change Summit.

There’s Michaela who tirelessly raises awareness of girls issues in her school and community.

There’s Rampi who saw the Because I am a Girl video and decided to get off the couch and ACT.

There’s the Cambridge Turbos Ringette Team who took the thing they do best (win!) and turned it into a fundraiser for Because I am a Girl.

There’s Roma, event planner extraordinaire who managed to mix fun and charity with a Valentines Day event and who has committed her year to Because I am a Girl.

Every time I get to interview one of these girls about what they’re up to and how they’re changing the world I get so excited. Thanks for sharing your awesomeness with girls around the world!
