Join us for the Markham Women’s 5K & Girls’ 1K on Sunday, May 9th, 2010. We are raising funds to support the Tanzania Girls School Residence Project through the Because I am a Girl campaign at Plan Canada.

We are offering a women’s-only 5K Run/Walk and a 1K Run/Walk for girls under 12, on a safe running track. The event will be hosted at Bill Crothers High School in Markham, Ontario.

All 5K participants receive a tech tank, great race kit, food and fun! All 1K girls receive a cute t-shirt with our running girl logo and a mini-medal! In addition, anyone who raises a minimum of $50 in pledges receives a cool headband that reads “I know I run like a girl, try to keep up!”
