Most of the girls that have joined the Because I am a Girl campaign are not kidding around.  In fact, they are pretty serious about their commitment to girl power, and they are clearly demonstrating their own girl power in the kinds of actions that they’re taking.  Take a look:

This past Mother’s Day, 320 women and girls ran to raise money for a girls’ residence in Tanzania, thanks to the encouragement of Maddy and Sara.

Olympic Champion Jenn Heil is pretty good at skiing, but she’s also doing a great job of raising awareness and funds for Because I am a Girl!

Lynette Trott is headed to the top of Mt. Everest “Because I am a girl who decided I wanted to do it!”

World Cup Championship winning ringette team, the Cambridge Turbos, have also found time to join the campaign despite their busy butt kicking schedule!

And last but not least are our very own Plan staffers who decided to run a marathon to raise money for the Because I am a Girl campaign!

Phew!  These ladies demonstrate that because they are girls, they’ve got muscles, determination, and team spirit!  (and probably blisters).
